B'nai Israel Religious School

CBI Religious School is a vibrant learning community of 255 students and their families. Our education begins in Kindergarten and continues through the teen years. Students in Kindergarten through second grade attend religious school on Sunday morning, and grades 3 through 7 attend on Sunday morning and Wednesday afternoon or evening. Our post-Bar/Bat Mitzvah programs are Ten-Mile Hebrew High, Kadima and USY.
Our school provides an environment that is friendly and fun, while being intellectually stimulating for the students. Questions are encouraged and opportunities abound for spiritual growth. The goals of our program are to develop the knowledge and skill level of our students, so that they are able to participate fully in Jewish prayer and rituals. Identification with the community is also of great importance; students learn to be productive members of their own synagogue and surrounding community.
The value of Klal Yisrael, the greater Jewish community, is instilled through learning about Israel and Jews around the world. Through tzedakah, giving, and gemilut hasadim, acts of kindness, our students learn the life-long value of service. Our teachers are experienced in general and Jewish education, and keep up with innovations in the field of learning. Their dedication and creativity make Religious School a meaningful and joyful experience for students. Teachers communicate regularly with parents, and parents frequently help in the classroom. Families participate actively in Shabbat dinners and services, workshops, holiday celebrations and social action projects.
Through this participation, parents, teachers and students all grow Jewishly together. Here at CBI we are committed to change and growth. We invite members of the synagogue community to become a part of that growth by sharing their own goals and ideas.
